    Si Kerima Puluotan Tuviera (16 Disyembre &#;– 19 Agosto ) ay isang Pilipinong manunulat. Isinilang sa Jolo, Sulu, siya ay ipinangalang Putli Kerima. Ang kanyang tatay ay isang koronel sa sandatahang lakas at ang kanyang nanay ay nagtuturo ng ekonomiyang pambahay. Dahil laging pumapalit ng destino ang kanyang tatay, siya ay nakatira sa iba’t iabng lugar at nagaral sa pambulikong paaralan sa Pangasi, Tarlac, Laguna, Nueva Ecija at Rizal. Siya ay nagtaposng mula sa Far Eastern University High School. Noong , ay nagaral sa ng pagiging nars sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. Sa siya ay lumipat patungo Arellano University monark saan siya ay kumuha ng mga klase sa ilalim ni Teodoro M. Locsin. Siya ang naging tagapatnugot ng Arellano Literary Review. Ang edukasyon niya ay nahinto dahil sa sakit, kakulangan sa pera at pagkatapos ang kasal at limang anak. Ang ilan sa mga maikling kuwento niya ay nailimbag sa ilalim ng pangalan na Patricia S.     In high school, four decades before I became a senior citizen, I turned to three writers as models of good writing: Kerima Polotan, Gilda Cordero Fernando and Carmen Guerrero Nakpil.

    Of the three, Nakpil was the eldest (born ), followed by Polotan (born ) and Fernando (born ).

    I was extra close to Nakpil and Fernando for many years before their demise.

    Nakpil gave me a deep sense of history even as we shared a common love for music.

    Fernando referred to me as Mr. Taray (she reads all my music reviews) but we shared laughter like we had been friends for ages (I was born in and she was born in ).

    I could share raucous laughter with Nakpil and Fernando but I did not dare cultivate extra familiarity with Polotan.

    With Polotan, I kept the strict editor-writer relationship. In my mind, she was a goddess of writing and I regard her high up there on her literary pedestal.

    Kerima Polotan-Tuvera was a renowned Filipino fiction writer, essayist, and reporter who graduated from Far Eastern University Girls' High School. She married fellow writer Juan Capiendo Tuvera in with whom she had 10 children. Polotan-Tuvera won numerous awards including several Palanca Awards and authored the only approved biography of Imelda Marcos. She passed away in at age 85 after suffering a stroke.
