    It's been an absolutely huge week for Super Mario, with Illumination and Nintendo giving the world its very first look at The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Although the longtime video game voice of Mario Charles Martinet isn't leading this project, he hasn't been forgotten about.

    Fellow voice actor Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls, My Little Pony, Harley Quinn in MultiVersus, and Miss Minutes in Loki) has called on social media to show the voice of Mario "some love".     Charles Andre Martinet (born September 17, 1955 in San Jose, California) is an American actor and voice actor.

    He's best known as the voices of Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi in the Super Mario Bros. series, having debuted with the relatively obscure CD-ROM release Mario Teaches Typing in 1994. His rise in popularity with the franchise began with the much more famous Super Mario 64 in 1996.

    His distinct and iconic Child-Like Voice for Mario is in stark contrast with the performance of previous voice actor Captain Lou Albano in the cartoon series.     Charles Andre Martinet[a] (born September 17, 1955) is an American actor. Martinet is known for creating the voice of Mario in the Super Mario franchise, portraying him from 1991 to 2023. He also voiced other characters in the series such as Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and the baby equivalents of Mario and Luigi, prior to stepping down as voice actor to become an official brand ambassador for the series.
