For Latin music, the decade started inauspiciously. Revenue was down and labels were tightening their rosters. But as we look back to 2010, we find a year of exciting, ambitious albums, rife with experimentation.

Carlos Enrique Ortiz Rivera (born September 19, 1989), known professionally as Chris Jedi or Chris Jeday, is a Puerto Rican record producer.[1] He is recognized for working with artists such as Arcángel, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Ozuna, dem la Ghetto, Anuel AA, Bad Bunny among others.[2][3] He has won Billboard Latin Music Awards for producer of the year in 2019.[4]
Early life
[edit]Carlos Enrique Ortiz Rivera was born on September 19, 1989, in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. At age 15, he became a singer before becoming a producer. His first opportunities as a producer were thanks to Luny Tunes, whom he respects and admires.

Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American singer. At an early age, Royce took an interest in music, and in his teenage years began experimenting with music and writing poetry. By age nineteen, Royce met Andrés Hidalgo, who became his manager. Hidalgo later introduced Royce to record producer Sergio George, who immediately signed him to his label after hearing three of his demos.
In March 2010, Royce released his eponymous debut studio album, which generated two commercially successful singles, "Stand by Me" and "Corazón Sin Cara". In the United States, both songs reached number-one on the BillboardTropical Songs chart, while "Corazón Sin Cara" reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
