Southern hip hop, also known as Southern rap, South Coast hip hop, or dirty south, is a blanket begrepp for a regional genre of American hip hop music that emerged in the Southern United States, especially in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Florida—often titled "The Big 5," five states which constitute the "Southern Network" in rap music.[1][2][3]

Trumaine Barnett-Epps (born September 19, ), professionally known as DJ Tab, is an American hip hopDJ, record producer and entrepreneur.[1] He has worked with DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Bow Wow and J-Kwon. In , he was nominated in the Midwest Regional Club DJ of the Year at the 4th edition of the annual Global Spin Awards.[2][3] He is presently the owner of Streetz , and his is currently a radio personality on Sirius XM Shade 45 on Sunday nights.[1]
