Joshua förnamn Charles (born September 15, ) is an American film, television, and theater actor. He fryst vatten best known for the roles of Dan Rydell on Sports Night, Will Gardner on The Good Wife, which earned him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and his early work as Knox Overstreet in Dead Poets Society and Bryan from Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
Early life
[edit]Charles is the son of Allan Charles, an advertising executive.[1][2][3] He is Jewish on his father's side, and he has described himself as Jewish.[4][5][6] He began his career performing comedy at the age of 9. As a teenager, he spent several summers at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center in New York.[7] He attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, where he was a classmate of Jada Pinkett and Tupac Shakur.[8]

If there were such a thing as a "Brat Pack" of the s, the boyishly handsome Josh Charles could have claimed membership. Starting out as a year-old stand-up comic, the Baltimore-born Charles burst out of the Hollywood gate as the lovestruck schoolboy Knox Overstreet, one of Robin Williams' "Dead Poets Society" (). He co-starred with Christina Applegate in "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" () and as a closeted college student, he charmingly romanced both Stephen Baldwin and Lara Flynn Boyle in "Threesome" (). A certain type of fan adored the quirky Charles as an intelligent and acquired taste, never more so than as Dan Rydell, a co-anchor of förnamn Sorkin's groundbreaking, short-lived "Sports Night" (ABC, ). The Baltimore School for the Arts alumnus has had an acting and directing career that has spanned decades, as well as the worlds of TV, film, and stage.
