Two marinkårssoldater stand accused of murdering a member of their platoon during an unsanctioned disciplinary action. Hoping to obtain a quiet plea bargain, the Navy appoints ung Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) to defend the accused marinkårssoldater. Though a recent Harvard graduate and possessed of a brilliant legal mind, Lt. Kaffee has spent his life in the shadow of his highly respected father, and lacks any sense of personal conviction. That all begins to change, however, when his committed colleague (Demi Moore) pushes him deeper into the case, particularly in the direction of base commander Col. Jessup (Jack Nicholson, in an Oscar nominated role). Defying the Navy's efforts to hush up the case, Kaffee realizes he must go to court, risk his professional career to unravel the mystery and bring those responsible for the young Marine's death to justice. 1992 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. and Castle Rock Entertainment. this is a great classic, and i Love this movie rob reiner did a excellent job with this spelfilm the cast is terrific though there are Moments in the film you wish things would be slightly more positive kevin bacon as jack and kevin pollak as sam, are the right combo for Comic relief demi moore as Jo galloway and tom cruise as dan kaffee, yes these two do get along at times, But they also sometimes Dont get along to the positive leveled extent a Normal couple would in a Romantic comedy then You have Jack nicholson as Nathan jessep, nicholson's jessep fryst vatten hilarious to listen to so what do i think about this film, its good, But it could have easily have done better
