    In 1958, Lola Bobesco created “Les Solistes de Bruxelles” [Brussels Soloists], renamed “Ensemble d’archets Eugène Ysaÿe” [Eugène Ysaÿe String Ensemble], now known as the ‘Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie’ [Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia].     Winner of the International Jorma Panula Conducting Competition 2024 (2nd Prize & Orchestra Prize), Félix Benati is a French conductor, deeply invested in the symphonic repertoire of the 20th & 21st century and in Opera. He will make his debuts in 2025 with Orchestre de l’Opéra de Rouen-Normandie, Orchestre Pasdeloup and Filarmonica de Stat Sibiu in Romania, and in 2026 with Orchestrre National de Cannes, Vaasa City Orchestra and Jyväskylä Sinfonia in Finland. For the past two years, Felix Benati has been assistant conductor at the Orchestre National de Lille (France) and the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, thus working on such various repertoire as Francis Poulenc’s La Voix Humaine, Hector Berlioz’ Symphonie Fantastique, Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème or Bela Bartok’s Bluebeard’s Castle.
